ATTORNEY
Attorney Will Ourand has dedicated his career to litigating against some of the nation’s most powerful companies while representing people who’ve suffered from catastrophic injuries caused by defective products.
Will served for two years on the Editorial Board of the Law Review and as a research assistant while attending the Florida State University College of Law. As a legislative intern, Will also conducted legal research to help draft legislation for the Florida House of Representatives. After graduating magna cum laude with a Juris Doctorate degree, Will landed a position at a defense law firm in Jacksonville, Florida, where he represented insurance companies in the areas of insurance coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, and liability defense. After a few years, Will found himself wanting to help the consumers rather than the large corporations.
That’s why Will now utilizes his past experience to benefit clients at Newsome Melton Law. He appreciates the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life who have encountered unexpected hardship. He finds his clients to be hardworking, good, honest people. Will considers his career to be especially rewarding. “I’m most proud of the fact I have the opportunity to come in every day and work on cases that really make a difference,” Will said.
As an active member of the Florida Justice Association and American Association for Justice, Will continually gains and contributes professional insight that has proven advantageous in the application of various cases. Will’s inherent determination to achieve resolution for his clients continues to result in major settlements and positive change in the marketplace every day.
